BJP will sweep assembly polls in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, says party chief Nadda

BJP president JP Nadda on Friday expressed confidence that after the Haryana hat-trick, the party will sweep the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Interacting with the media after paying obeisance at the Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur, Nadda said the people were happy with the performance of the BJP government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Union health minister said he offered prayers after the party’s victory in the recent polls. “The BJP has achieved a lot in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and the credit for this goes to people and the Almighty. The party will sweep the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, too,” he said.
Bucking anti-incumbency, the ruling BJP pulled off a third consecutive win in Haryana to retain power and halt the Congress’ comeback attempt in the assembly elections. The BJP also made notable gains in Jammu and Kashmir by winning 29 of the 90 seats. The National Conference-Congress combine is set to form government in the Union Territory.
